About Larissa Z. Waltman

After graduating with my a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan in 1996 where I majored in English and Sociology, I attended Wayne State University Law School and received my Juris Doctorate degree in 1999.

My legal career began as a law clerk working under the guidance of labor and employment attorneys Gregory, Moore, Jeakle, Heinen & Brooks, P.C. in Detroit in 2000 and Klimist, McKnight, Sale, McClow & Canzono, P.C. in Southfield in 1998, and interning at the Equal Employment Opportunities Commission in Detroit in 1998.

From 2000 to 2016 I worked at UAW Legal Services Plan in Warren where I represented UAW members in their personal legal matters where I was primarily responsible for Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 Bankruptcy, Consumer Law, Contract Issues, and Real Estate.

This office was opened in Gaylord in October 2016 where I continue to focus on Bankruptcy, Consumer, Contract and Real Estate issues. I have also been working with Crawford county as court appointed counsel in Child Protection cases.

In addition to practicing the above areas of law, I also completed the Michigan State Court Administrative Office training in General Civil Mediation in 2002 and Domestic Relations Mediation in 2017. I look forward to assisting individuals and businesses in resolving their disputes through mediation and facilitation.
